How do I get an audition for my son to be on Sesame Street?
I’ve found a ton of web sites for the Sesame Street Live show, but I am interested in having him on the actual show in New York. Not necessarily as a cast member, but just as one of the random kids that the puppets talk to. Are these kids actual actors or just random kids? Any links to sites, suggestions, etc. would be appreciated!
It’s a little of both, but a lot of it is who you know. I’ve known a lot of SS puppeteers and been on set a few times. A lot of those kids are the children of people who work there, or friends. Some come from agents. I have never seen a casting call in Backstage magazine (the industry trade paper listing auditions) for kids for SS. I don’t think they really have open auditions. Sorry for the negative answer.
